Resistanz! And Goodbye, 2011.
Since my last update, the biggest bit of news to share is that I will be a featured DJ at 2012's Resistanz Festival at Corporation in Sheffield, UK! I attended the inaugural installment of Resistanz this year and it was, without a doubt, one of the most fun and refreshing festival experiences of my life. 2012 has an incredible lineup and is set to be bigger, better, and even more over-the-top than 2011. I am expected to be spinning in the main hall on Saturday, April 7th, and some very special surprises are in the works. Don't miss out on this, because I'll be playing a set unlike any you'll see anywhere else. Don't miss it!
In other news, I am currently accepting bookings for 2012 worldwide. European dates are already filling up and I expect North America to follow suit. Please get your enquiries in early, as I already have dates planned into the summertime. I'm also pleased to announced that this summer's postponed London date has finally been rescheduled!
2011 will come to a close with a barrage of Philadelphia-and-environs gigs, including a few that mark my foray into playing Electro and Hard Dance events. I'm thrilled that the last event I'll play in 2011, will be a return to Antwerp's Vampire Party. This has been a busy but wonderful year for me professionally, and there's no better way to see it out than to ring in the year to come with some very dear friends over in Belgium. Every 3rd Wednesday, Pure takes over the Chameleon Club's lizard lounge with a blacklight party of epic proportions. With resident DJs Diesel and Backdraft at the helm, Pure is an extravagana of light and sound, featuring Dubstep, Drum n' Bass, Hardstyle, House, anything goes! On Thanksgiving Eve, one of the biggest party nights of the year, Pure will be rocking the Chameleon Club with bass you can feel down the street and a very special guest appearance by DJ Totentanz, on hand to bring you some pulse-pounding hard dance, durrrrty durrrrrty electro, a splash of dubstep, crazy remixes, and all the massive drops you can handle. Wear UV reactive gear and glow under the blacklights! This is a 21+ event and you must have valid ID to enter.

Tainted Reality presents a colorful and unforgettable evening of hard beats with a Japanese twist. On tour and all the way from Japan, DJ Sisen will be in town to rock Philadelphia and he'll be backed up by a multi-genre lineup of some of the most dynamic DJs from the region. Expect everything from Industrial to Techno to J-Rock! Also on hand will be NJ's CENOTYPE, providing a set of live power noise just to get things even crazier. DJ Totentanz will spin from 1:00am - 2:00am, immediately following Sisen, to close the night out on a bang with a proper, pulse-pounding Hard Dance set. A Philadelphia Saturday-night institution, Black Saturdays maintains the over decade-long tradition of a weekly goth event at Ulana's. With resident DJs Knobhead (main floor) and Anorexotica (lounge), Black tends to cater to old school and more traditionally "gothy" inclinations, but is also filled with dancefloor classics and remains a hidden gem for hearing quite a bit of great music that doesn't pop up anywhere else in the city. December 3rd will be DJ Totentanz's first ever appearance at the event and she will be taking the opportunity to do something a little different. Though not playing "goth" in the traditional sense, she plans to use the opportunity to showcase modern dark sounds that aren't always so dancefloor-focused, but fantastic musically. To name a handful: Light Asylum, Austra, Zola Jesus, Mater Suspiria Vision, Holy Ghost!, Cult of Youth, Ritualz, Fever Ray, Purity Ring, etc. Perhaps even some classics like X-Mal Deutschland and Malaria! If you're curious about the roots and the evolution of dark music and a fan of genres like post-punk, synth pop, "the waves" (dark, new, cold, chill), minimal, witch house, and so forth, than this is an excellent time to check out Black. This is a 21+ event and valid ID is required.

Though actually on the 3rd Friday of November, Digital Ferret's ongoing 4th Fridays event series has been providing local, national, and international bands, djs, and artists alike a place to perform and meet fans in a casual setting for several years and running. Totentanz will once again be the month's featured DJ and the non-dance-focused setting always provides an excellent opportunity to feature some fantastic music that isn't always suited to a club environment (though of course you'll hear some great dance tunes as well!). November will also feature live performances by Philadelphia's own MY PARASITES, celebrating the release of their new album, and THE PSYCHOLOGICAL MASQUERADE, as well as an art show by Mark Shiber. All ages are welcome to attend this event and entry is FREE, though donations for the bands are welcome and appreciated.

Now moved to 3rd Fridays, Kulture Shock has been a Phiadelphia fetish/dance party institution for several years and running. For December, DJ Totentanz returns for her third appearance at the event, alongside host and resident DJ Dr Octo-Pussy. Though largely dance-focused, this is nonetheless very much a fetish-friendly and kink-positive event and play space is available. Kulture Shock is a 21+ event and XO Lounge is an afterhours establishment, open and serving liquor until 3am.

Dirty Dirty Beats!, a multi-genre event celebrating many faces of Philadelphia's underground Electronic Dance Music Scene, represents a major breakout and crossover point for DJ Totentanz and the chance to appeal to a whole new set of fans alongside a handful of old ones. This event showcases 5 distinct styles: House, Electro, Fidget, Dubstep, and Drum n' Bass. Totentanz will be on hand to showcase her skill with spinning a genre she adores, but rarely has a chance to go full-throttle with: Dirty Filthy Electro House! One of the most exciting new parties in Central Europe, Cyber Heresy exploded onto the scene with some amazing parties in 2011 and is set to continue that tradition as 2012 unfolds. DJ Totentanz will once again join her dear friends, Zydrate Projekt, at the bridge where east meets west, for a party of truly epic proportions. She was immensely proud to play at the first-ever Cyber Heresy event nearly a year ago and help earn Bratislava its place as a destination for some truly dynamic and fun events, and is thrilled to be returning for the first event of the new year. Appearing at Club Orpheus for the very first time, Baltimore is among a series of new markets DJ Totentanz will be debuting in. While she may already be known by some parts of the crowd, due to a fair amount of crossover with Philadelphia and Washington DC, this is the first time in her entire career to be playing any event in Maryland. Synthetik, hosted by resident DJs Glitta Chris and Umbris, takes place every 3rd Friday and focuses on all varieties of dark synth sounds, from industrial/ebm to darkwave to techno.
